" Daffodils"
Oil on canvas Panel 8"x10"
Even purchased daffodils make it seem like spring will arrive....
Monday was very close to a spring day in temperature and atmosphere. Snow came in the middle of the night reminding us that it is still winter and cold storms are probable But I had these bits of portable sunshine in a vase to keep me cheerful!

"Marsh Creek in Declo"
Oil on Canvas Panel 16"x20" sold
Seeing the painting so much smaller is quite helpful in deciding on further work. So this may be "work in progress"...

"Color!"
Acrylic on panel approx. 24"x 40" (I will measure it another day....)
Another cold, very grey day..... I have been unable to do much from my slightly despondent state. Yesterday I drove out into the countryside and did a small sketch and worked some on adding an elk to a four season wildlife composition I am doing. When I came back, I found a forgotten board ready to receive paint. I decided to try just color to see if that would move me onward. The little computer "Paint" * projects are so enjoyable I decided to use that concept and played with this for several hours. It worked. While I was working on it, I was lost and happy! I am going to post it on all three blogs..... *See my blog "Paint Doodles" Click on it in the left hand column.

" Evening Observation: Idaho Falls Temple"
Oil on Canvas Panel 11"x 14" sold
On the first night of our Idaho Temple Tour, my sister and I were in the perfect motel room for observing and painting the Temple! It was a warm autumn night, the moon was full, and the wind, calm so the reflections were wonderful. And because I was inside, all was quiet. We watched traffic coast by on the other side of the Snake River, but heard nothing.
The next day we attended the Rexburg Temple. I have not finished the begining I made that day. Soon. After that, the tour did not exactly follow our plans, but was still great. We went to both the Twin Falls Temples and Boise, where our other sister joined us!
But I was unable to begin paintings at either as my pesky cold resurfaced and lasted forever. So I have some work to do to finish the Idaho Tour.
We are talking about doing a Utah Tour begining in St. George.

Painted Christmas Ornaments 2009 Small about 2" Large about 4"
Someone asked me a while back how to go about painting on ornaments..... I hadn't thought about it since painting one in 2007.... a special experience....
I decided that since I know how to do it, I would! And here are a few.... More to come.
