Pink Geranium
Oil on Canvas Gallery Wrap 5 3/4" x 5 3/4 "sold
Geranium plants are so colorful and reliable! Many of mine are still going after 20 years! I take them into the studio through the winter and while I am very happy to have them go back outdoors in the spring, still their colors and wonderful leaves are great during the cold months.
I even enjoy their distinctive fragrance... So I paint them to commemorate!

Exotics
Oil on Canvas Panel 6"x6"
Purchasing and painting flowers is a great thing. Cheerful and fun. These were in a bouquet of mixed flowers. I have no idea what they may be. They lasted for a long time and I enjoyed their colors and shapes.

Daisies in a Red Porcelain Vase
Oil on Canvas Panel 6"x 4" $65
The first daisies of the summer always bring smiles. My mother first planted these while I was a teen just because I adored them so then, as I do now. I have split them now we now have two bunches to keep simple joy abundant.

Climbing Red Rose
Oil on Canvas Panel 11" x 14" $150
sold
Here is a gardening success story! This rose bush was originally climbing the back wall of the garage on our patio. It nearly covered the garage every summer with wonderful, fragrant red roses just beside our sand box. It thrived until the Ash tree, shading the patio, got so large the rose was in constant shade. It still lived, but got weaker and weaker.
About four years ago I decided to try to transplant it. The first year in its new sunny location it was nearly mowed down, and had maybe one or two roses.... It has had a few more each year and this year produced 5 or 6 good canes each covered with the roses I remember from childhood! The painting is a celebration!

White Spring Violets in Red Crystal
Oil on Canvas Panel 6"x4"
sold
With this post, I will be posting paintings already seen on a different Blog. I am facing a few new challenges and will probably not be painting much for at least a few weeks.
These will be some of my favorite canvases, ones that I have enjoyed living with over several months. I hope you will enjoy seeing them too.
And now, I know how to put "Buy Now" buttons so that if a picture comes up that calls to you, it will be easy to purchase it! Each will come gift wrapped (I truly feel that original paintings are a gift).
I love the gift given to me, to see and to draw and paint. I like to have the purchaser feel the joy of this gift by receiving it wrapped.
