Geranium plants are so colorful and reliable! Many of mine are still going after 20 years! I take them into the studio through the winter and while I am very happy to have them go back outdoors in the spring, still their colors and wonderful leaves are great during the cold months.
I even enjoy their distinctive fragrance... So I paint them to commemorate!

I like the vibrant colors you use. I like to paint geraniums as well, however I do not possess your green thumb at wintering them over. Its incredible.
I really like the way you handled this geranium painting! The background is simple and interesting at the same time. My geraniums are the red variety and I keep them all year round also. I visited your blog after hearing artists helping artists radio show. I got some good ideas!
